Race 16 - September 25, 2004

The car was faster. We got 3rd in the heat with a broken rear-end and left-rear flat. Then the squirells kept finding us in the main. After moving forward, and having to change a flat, and moving forward again, and changing another flat, we got 10th. Thanks Bryson, Paula and Chuck.

Race 15 - September 11, 2004

The car just wasn't fast on the track. Not enough Horsepower, not enough traction. We got 6th. Thanks Bryson, Paula and Chuck.

Race 14 - August 28, 2004

If it wasn't for bad luck, we might get somewhere. Drove from mid-pack to 3rd then got kicked off the track for a left rear flat 5 laps from the finish. We salvaged an 8th. Thanks Bryson, Paula, Gary and Chuck.

Race 13 - August 14, 2004

We got the setup better this week. Now on to try to figure out the motor problem. Thanks Bryson, Paula and Chuck.

Race 12 - July 31, 2004

This was just one of those nights. A spring slider broke in mud packing. The ignition wouldn't work for hot laps. A tie rod broke in my heat. The setup was off and the ignition still didn't work for the main. We drove from 19th to 10th. Then we had to push the car into the trailer. Dave was on every problem and solved them as soon as they came up. Thanks Dave, Paula and Chuck.

Race 11 - July 24, 2004

A crashing car removed my car from competition in the heat. I called Chris Mendenhall and he gladly loaned me his car. Even with no seat time in the car ever, I drove the Mendenhall Panther from 22nd to 10th. The car was fast, but I should have stayed low on the track. It worked great down there,I am just so used to working the high groove. Scheduling conflicts (Bakersfield Speedway changed the schedule) dropped us to 8th in points coming into this race. Thanks Chris, Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 10 - July 3, 2004

The car had more forward bite. The transmission didn't work. Won the heat by going 3 wide on the high side of 3 and 4. Bad officiating sent us to the back of the pack from 2nd place, and moving forward. The race was shortened. We got 7th. Scheduling conflicts (Bakersfield Speedway changed the schedule) dropped us to 6th in points coming into this race. Thanks Chris, Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 9 - May 29, 2004

The car didn't have a lot of forward bite. The race was shortened. We got sixth. Thanks Chris, Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 8 - May 22, 2004

A lap one encounter got several of us sent to the back of the pack. By lap 3 I was back up to 4th. Then the engine let go and really put a damper on our points race. Thanks Chris, Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 7 - May 8, 2004

A spinner in the main event collected the car and basically ruined the night. Thanks Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 6 - May 1, 2004

It seems like people are really trying to keep me out of the points race. We came across the finish line with another car stuck to the front bumper. That really messes with the rear percentages. We managed 8th place and climbed back to 2nd in the points. Thanks Colton, Paula, Bryson and Chuck.

Race 5 - April 24, 2004

The heat went great and the track was going dry slick. Started 10th in the main and finished 5th after a huge crash on the first lap. Only 2 points from the points leader. Thanks Paula, Bryson and Chuck and all the fans that came out to watch.

Race 4 - April 17, 2004

It rained hard during the drivers meeting, it rained during my heat, and it rained again before the main. I started around 20th. The track finally started to come to me around lap 15, and they threw the checkered on the same lap. 11th finish position, first time out of the top 10 this year. Hopefully we won't have many more. Paula, Bryson and Chuck helped get us to 2nd in the points though.

Race 3 - April 3, 2004

Paula, Bryson, Chuck, Chris, Ron and everyone else who has helped and supported Scott Racing was rewarded with a great win Saturday night. The track was dry slick. Perfect for Chris' Panther Chassis, Ron's (Performance Quality Automotive) Engine and my driving style. After the restart I came out of turn 2 behind Mike Hood and Jason Selvidge. Hood was trying low to get around Selvidge and after about 10 laps I was able to drive around the outside. After another 10 laps Selvidge made a mistake in 2 and was forced to go low. I drove around him on the outside and it was basically clear sailing (except a small brush with the wall on the last lap) from there out. A huge thanks to everyone who has made Scott Racing what it is today. Mike

Race 2 - March 20, 2004

The cooling problem was cracked heads. Took the heads off the other motor and we're rolling again. 24 started the main with me in 13th. Early in the race after several cars slowed on the front straight, I hit the brakes and got run over. Since the car was still on top of me, I decided to see if it would come off in the turn. It did, after flatting my right rear and removing most of the body. We got back out before the restart and started making our way toward the front. A little impatience on my part cost our front brakes (and another cars left rear quarter) but we still kept going forward. After making it back to 5th place, another impatient driver spun us and sent us to the rear again. We managed to get back to 9th. Not too bad considering. Thanks to Bryson, Chuck and Paula for all the support.

Race 1 - March 6, 2004

Scott Racing is right back on the same track. My car isn't ready so Chris Mendenhall let me borrow his spare Panther. I put my in motor and trans. Couldn't keep coolant in the motor. Went to the pits 3 times in the main to refill the radiator. Thanks to Bryson and Chuck we stayed on the lead lap and finished 8th out of 31. Thanks to Paula for all the support.
